40th Anniversary Earth Day Celebration!
Kansas Solar Electric Co~operatives, Inc. founder & CEO at Lawrence Earth Day!
Lawrence Earth Day activities April 17, 2010
Your donation will help build K-SEC's Mobile BI-PV Solar Room Exhibit. K-SEC is scheduled to complete their 8'6"x20' BI-PV Solar Room Exhibit by July 2011. The small exhibit shown here was built by K-SEC's founder in a friend's garage Independence Day weekend 2008. It is great, but she gets bad sunburns during summer events. The planned exhibit will allow her to share information with patrons about BI-PV Solar and The K-SEC Model while they enjoy the comforts of cooled and filtered air via a 2.5 kWp BI-PV Solar Generator with battery backup. See latest update in the design and construction.
See K-SEC Annual Report 2009 for more information.
Connect via Internet ~ you can Contribute $40 via PAY PAL for the 40th Anniversary of Earth Day all year! Encourage friends to contribute or volunteer for K-SEC. A little help from a lot of people may make the best and largest difference in the world.
Presently, there is only 500 MWp Solar Photovoltaic Generation Installed Capacity in the entire United States according to a speaker at the March 3, 2009 Solar Round Table at the Kansas Corporation Commission [KCC]. The K-SEC Model is proposing to install twice that amount being 1,000 MWp BI-PV Solar in Kansas by 2022. YES!
It may cost up to $250,000 for K-SEC to complete K-SEC's pre-Phase I Demonstration tasks. As 105 K-SEC board members sign up across the state --yes you could qualify --we will join together to initiate a proceeding before the Kansas Corporation Commission [KCC] to assure ratepayer revenue backing for $50 million in bond financing to complete K-SEC's Phase I Demonstration of 10,000 SF BI-PV Solar installed in each Kansas county by 2012. This will evolve numerous jobs for Kansans.
HELP K-SEC RAISE $40 from 1,000 people to build 2.5 kWp Mobile BI-PV Solar Room Exhibit by July 1st 2010. We are working for a premier appearance Independence Day 2010!

China opened 35 Photovoltaic Manufacturing Plants in the last five years. The US has not opened any new PV Manufacturing Plants during that time. K-SEC will manufacture in KS and K-SEC certified technicians will install, monitor, maintain and manage K-SEC's 1,010.5 MWp BI-PV Solar resource for fifty years from 2012 to 2072. K-SEC will provide 7% to 10% of the 33,000 GWh of electricity presently consumed in Kansas by 2022.
Your donation of $40 in 2010 will make you a lifetime member of K-SEC during this special 40th Anniversary Year.
The name of each 2010 $40 contributor will be inscribed in a special presentation permanently exhibited in K-SEC's Mobile BI-PV Solar Room Exhibit. If you want to commemorate a loved one or event, we would be glad to add a name for $40.
Generally it is $100 to be listed.
